Conference 2020

Mothers Know Best - but do you believe it?

Our annual conference and AGM is always a highlight of our year and this year we’ve moved it online so that it can be enjoyed by all. Join us to listen to keynote speaker Pat Preedy and to hear about what we’ve been doing over the past year.

Join us on Zoom for the morning from 9:50am to 12:15pm. We’ll have a break for lunch and then offer a choice of seminars in the afternoon from 1pm to 2:40pm.

Members Tickets: £5

Non-Members Tickets: £10

For too long mothers making the choice to stay at home to raise their children have doubted their self worth. Successive government policies have stacked the economic system against staying at home whilst a political and social elite have devalued the role and importance of care in the home. It is time now to take courage, stand up and be counted. Find out why the role is so important especially now. Discover why mothers are forced to work sooner than is best either for themselves or their children. Come, be inspired and join us!

We are delighted that our founder, Kathy Gyngell, will be kicking off our conference and our keynote speaker will be Dr Pat Preedy. Pat is passionate about early childhood education and has led international research contributing greatly to our knowledge and understanding of the development and needs of babies and young children, and what is meant by quality in the early years. Pat will be explaining why the role of mother at home is so important and the optimum form of care if at all possible.

The morning will also include our AGM where we will hear updates from various committee members about different areas of MAHM work. There will then be a short break for lunch before we come back together for a choice of seminars, ranging from tax and policy, hearing from our worldwide partners, a chance to ask your questions to our Chair and an opportunity to learn more about our new local groups and get more involved.
